The event, held near Armed Forces Week, introduced a new feature called Veterans’ Village, honouring ex-Service personnel. The airshow also celebrated Wales Armed Forces Day with a stage ceremony and entertainment beginning at noon.

David Mark from Swansea watched the airshow for the fifth time with his family said : “We come every year and this is our fifth show.It is a nice day out with the kids and the dogs. The airshow also helps to bring tourists and money for Swansea.”

Team Raven, the Norwegian Vampire, the Red Devils Parachute Team, and many others, including a Rolls Royce Spitfire, wowed the crowds.

There were ground displays for all the family including a replica Hurricane and Typhoon, military displays, food and drink, live entertainment, a funfair, vintage military vehicles, a D-Day mobile museum, trade stands, the Motor Zone for fans of cars – and a new family fun area.

Another Swnasea resident said : “We live on the hill near the Mumbles and we have a bird’s eye view from our house. We think it’s fantastic for Swansea to bring all the wonderful people together under nature.”

Paul Frimston, an avid photographer was seen clicking some beautiful shots of the Wales Airshow along with his daughter Cerys who is currently pursuing her A levels of which photography is a significant part.

Paul Frimston told Swan Tv , “I used to fly back in the 1990s (primarily gliders but also some powered) but these days I spend my spare time photographing aircraft, cars and wildlife! I’m not a full-time professional photographer, but have undertaken work for the Air Tattoo at Fairford.”

In Fact to showcase the beautiful air show we have added pictures by the father and daughter duo.
