Film School is back and running now our new studios are complete (well almost). The building ground floor and basement is still a building site but jump in the lift to the first floor, turn right and you’ll find us waiting for you. As usual the building is secure you’ll need to call or text 07964 827969 and we’ll open up for you.
We now have a chroma green painted wall giving in much improved background for green screen work and have a selection of backgrounds available for video or photograhy. The studio is bigger than previous and lighter.
12-15 FILM SCHOOL
So we are open now on Saturday mornings from 12 o’clock until 1.30 for 12-15 year olds and we are making every effort to bring in more students. It’s free so if you or someone you know is interested in either working with professional cameras and equipment, acting or script writing then this is the place to have some down to earth practical experience. We’ve had several students come to us saying they are shy or don’t have the confidence. There is absolutely no pressure but every one has found their shyness evapourate and their confidence grow. Come along, maybe bring a friend and see how much fun we have whilst making films. There is no obligation but I’m sure if you just come once, you’ll return each week.
16-19 FILM SCHOOL
This new FREE class runs every Wednesday 4.30 – 6 o’clock (although this time may change. We are running a survey to find the best time). Come and learn about equipment and making a great movie. Whatever you interest in making good films, whether you want to be on TikTok, Instagram, Youtube or want to make short documentaries or drama, then this is for you.
Our programme for the Winter includes learning about the equipment, making films in the studio, going out and about in Swansea making both a documentary and a short drama film and having some movie sessions where we look at both well known films and some made locally to learn from them.
FILM DAYS
We are planning another FILM DAY during the Xmas school holidays so watch this space and social medial, Facebook, Tiktok and Instagram. We will make a short film with a Christmas theme. We are planning a One Day Filming project but we will meet up a week earlier to create and write a script. There will be a small charge but details will be ready by mid November so you can spread payment over 4 weeks. Interested? Be the first to know. Text 07964 827959 with FILM DAY and your name. COFFEE MORNINGS
Come along on Fridays between 11.30 and 1 o’clock for a coffee and chat. Interested in film making or photograhy? Or anything else. We are a friendly group and welcome new comers. When outside call or text 07964 827959 to be admitted.
FILM MAKING
We run a film making group on Saturdays starting at 1.30 in our studios. Bring your ideas and make a film. We will be out and about on some days and in the studio on others, weather dependant. But wherever we are you will be in a group of like minded people who want to carry on their hobby, want to learn new skills, meet with new people or want to shoot interesting places, people and events locally.
