Swan Film School First Film

October evenings closed in and Saturday mornings at the studio were times to think about Hallowen and a short film we could make. The groups were down on their knees writing out ideas and a rough script sequence.

Some had brought props along from home, hairy hands, scary masks. cloaks and some outfits. Working around what they had, they came up with the idea of ghosts! So two girls were out tricking and treating and came across two hairy ghosts who turned the girls into ghosts as they touched them. It was when the girls fought back that they turned back into themselves.

This was filmed against a green screen and and a background and sound effects added in editing. The finished film was quite scary and all the crew enjoyed seeing their first endeavour. This is just the beginning and we look forward to the class growing over the next few week.

At the moment we will be restricting numbers to a maximum of 15 students per class and only classes for 11-15 and 16 to 19. The 11-15 class meets at 12 oclock on Saturday morning for 90 minutes in the Studio on Orchard Street unless we are filming outside. This coming week (Saturday 16th November) we are meeting at the gate to Singleton Park, weather permitting, to do choose locations and a run though of a short script written by the crew which takes part in the park. If you are 11-15 and are interested come along to the Singleton Park entrance by the pedestrian crossing just below St Pauls church, Sketty Cross. You don’t need to have any experience, learn with us in a fun way.
