Pirates Galore

This Saturday we had an amazing Film School session. Teemee, one of our students, translated a short humourous skit from Chinese and we read it through and filmed. It was like a radio show on TV. Everybody participated including me to make up the cast. Nice thing was that nobody had to learn lines. We read it through twice.

We used one camera and sound of that camera. Next time I’m hoping we ca use two cameras and local mics to bring more interest and clearer sound. Peyto was our Camera Operator. With one camera she didn’t have much to do but with 2 cameras she will have plenty to do.

Next week we will film this again, it’s only 4 minutes long, then onto looking a new plot ideas. With the Swansea Christmas Parade we might go out and film the event, weather being suitable. So keep watching for future developments and if you are 12-17 wy not come along this Saturday at 12 oclock. !6 or under and we need a parental consent so bring a parent with you. They won’t stay. We like to give our students control of what we are doing.

To find us go to the Dragon Hotel and turn left along Belle Vue Way for a few metres, cross into Trintity Place and a few metres along is a brown door marked “Belgrove”. Call or text us on 07964 827959 and we’ll open up. Remember the Film School weekly sessions are free.
