You can listen to this post, click below. Just over 4 minutes.

We are moving to our new studio over the next couple of weeks so watch out for full details. We shall be in the new Elysium Arts Centre, Trinity Place, Swansea. This is just opposite the Dragon Hotel, so very convenient. We shall continue to run the Teen Film School and new Adult Film Group together with Swan TV, the local internet TV Station. We have been in the old studios for four years now and I am personally sad to move on, we’ve had some good memories there and filmed many programes and chat shows. The Film Groups have been successful and we plan to grow those when we move.

So here is a round-up of some of the activities we will be continuing:

Swan TV will be making short documentaries, presenting chat shows and filming interesting local events. If you have an idea for a chat show, one you’d like to present or just have an idea, then please get in touch. If you’ve never presented a show we will coach and support you. All you need to do is find your niche, or the thing you want to talk about, and find guests. We have the fully fitted professional studio and can support and direct your show. If you have a subject you think would be a great topic to make a short documentary then get in touch too. And if you just want to be involved we are eagerly seeking out volunteers who can give some time, learn some new skills, and be part of an energetic team.

The Teen Film School (which is free) is currently running weekly on Saturday mornings. As more film-makers join then we will split the groups down to maybe 12-15 and 16-19. If you are interested come along for a taster. See what we do and if it’s your thing. You can act or be on the technical side, using pro cameras and sound equipment, you might want to write scripts or make props. Everyone is welcome. We’ve already made a couple of short films but we want to make more. Why join? Learn some great skills for film-making or maybe you want to make social media videos for YouTube or Instagram. This will put you light years ahead.

The Adult Film Crew runs weekly, starting again at 1.30 from 6th September. Everyone is welcome to this free weekly meeting where you will learn film-making skills and meet other like-minded people. This is very hands-on so if you want to learn script-writing, using cameras, directing, acting, prop making or anything else involved in film-making then this is for you. Our mission is to make short films, documentaries, drama, a chat show or anything else you are interested in.

We are running a free photography walk through Swansea on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October starting at the Railway Station and finishing around the Dylan Thomas Centre. Full details will be available later. Saba Humayun will lead this walk and will be there to help you produce top quality photos whether you use your smartphone or DSLR camera. No experience is necessary, you’ll learn about photography and the history of the places we pass and stop at. Watch out for more information.

We ae currently seeing how we can have a Friday coffee morning meet-up. Watch out for more information.

We have a full programme to bring film-making and photography together with other self-improvement courses including confidence building, how to be a presenter, using your smartphone to produce outstanding energetic photos. Watch out for more information.
