Next weekend, 11th and 12th October is the Swansea Arts Weekend with over 100 activities taking place.

We hosted two photographic walks, on 11th and 12th nof this month. Meeting at Swansea railway station we meandered up the Hgh Street, along Wind Street and finishing at the Waterfront museum. We stopped along the route to discover the history and interesting locations along the way, hearing history and stories whilst having the opportunity to take photos to mark our journey.

We brought Swansea alive, combining history and today. Hearing about the bustling High Street as it was, the crowded bars full of sailors, about when Swansea was the world centre of the copper industry, the banking quarter and the Dylan Thomas connections. And at the same time we helped with any photographic issues and advice and bringing images alive both on cameras or smartphones.

We plan to display many images on our website. Watch out

These were successful walks and we had about 28 people join us. We are planning future occasional walks in different parts of Swansea for photographers. Watch out for details.
